Westside, Eastside we don’t discriminate. This season’s fashionable after-parties will return to the Standard New York venues in the westerly Meatpacking District and in the new East Village location. On the westside, expect a nonstop roster of performances and fetes, kicking off tonight with a Bullett magazine party hosted by Juliette Lewis at Le Bain. The Kills, courtesy of DeLeón Tequila, will perform on Thursday, and come the weekend, save your energy for the Purple magazine celebration, which will take over Le Bain and the Top of the Standard and go into the wee hours. Stay out long enough and you can roll right into the Y-3 afterparty on Sunday night. On the backside of Made fashion week, Dita Von Teese will perform, fittingly, on Valentine’s Day, and Jeremy Scott will close out the Fall 2012 Made fashion week on Feb. 15 with a dinner and party courtesy of Ciroc.
Over in the East Village, the Penthouse will be rocking all week. Men’s-wear designer Andrew Buckler is hosting an after-party tonight. Expect to see “Cadaver,” the film that is, on Sunday evening. The week will also feature some interesting pairings. Chris Benz has convinced Upper East Sider Marjorie Gubelmann to play DJ at his Feb. 13 after-party, while Christian Cota is celebrating his Fall 2012 collection with Bebel Gilberto on Valentine’s Day. On Feb. 15, Givenchy is hopping the pond to host an intimate dinner for some lucky 30 guests. And to bring it all back to a more culturally diverse “reality,” the Museum of Modern Art will wrap things up with an arty party for the Fortnight Film Festival on Feb. 16.
The Standard New York, including Le Bain and the Top of the Standard, is located at 848 Washington Street. The Standard’s East Village location is at 25 Cooper Square.
