Milk Gallery celebrated the launch of “Everyone Must Be Announced,” a new photography book by Aaron Stern published by fashion label cum imprint Shipley & Halmos.

Zoe Kravitz and Alexandra Richards were among the NYT PYT’s who stopped by to congratulate the young photographer and design duo. “It” girl Alexa Chung took over the dj booth and swayed to her throwback beats while friends toasted the creative endeavor with enough Pabst to fuel a music festival.

Stern’s approach is a refreshing look at concert-going that rejects the usual bandmember-yelling-into-a-mic approach and turns the camera instead on candid behind-the-scenes happenings. The roster of bands and performers in the images includes The Strokes, Grizzly Bear, Arcade Fire, Animal Collective, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Phoenix, The Kills and Beach House.
