Wunderkind Henry Holland, beloved by the cool kids for his tongue-in-cheek take on fashion (remember those “I’ll Tell YOU Who’s Boss, Kate Moss” tee shirts?) and his collaborations with the it-est of “It” girls (Agyness, Alexa, Pixie) and the coolest of brands (Colette, Linda Farrow), hits the mark yet again with film for the House of Holland Spring/Summer 2012 pre-collection. The London-based designer worked with acclaimed lensman Mariano Vivanco, on his first fashion film: a music video starring model (and new muse) Eliza Cummings. The video is a spot-on throw back to early 90’s dance videos like “Deee Lite - Groove is in the Heart”, and the graphic manipulation coupled with Eliza’s energy and hypnotic dance moves perfectly showcase the mood and energy of the new collection, a colorful explosion of patterns inspired by traditional Peruvian cloths and Mexican “Day of the Dead” festivities.
