Williamsburg, Brooklyn based Nomia showed on the runway at The Standard on Tuesday night.
Nomia manages to look modern, progressive even while still maintaining wearable silhouettes and featuring easy colorways; ivory, white marble, poppy and black. Their clothes don’t scream for attention instead the clever cuts and great fits affirm an affinity with the contemporary.
There were laminated tees and halter tops, jeans with marble finishes. Silk shirts, wrap skirts and panel dresses. For too long feminine has been confused with either slutty or granny. Nomia make clothes for women who don’t make that mistake.
