Ohne Titel presented a sporty Spring 2013 collection, complete with graphic pops of color in prints of stripes and swirls. To match the beauty to the ready-to-wear, Jimmy Paul, editorial stylist at Bumble and Bumble created a precise, geometric look for the models’ hair, with a full, thick mane that appears flat at the same time. He spritzed damp hair with Bumble’s Thickening Hairspray before blow drying with a round brush and straight ironing to complete the look.
“Women I know love this look,” says Paul. “We’re doing something that’s wearer friendly and aspirational. It’s something where you’d say, ‘I like that look from that show,’ as opposed to something more avant garde. It’s user friendly. Also, the quality of the hair is beautiful.”
MAC Cosmetics stylist Lucia Pica was also inspired by the collection’s graphic aesthetic. She described her beauty look as “an exaggerated cat-like geometric shape in bold colors.”
The feminine palette was achieved with a strong eye that featured MAC Chromacake in colors like Pure White, Hi-Def Cyan or Genuine Orange with a winged-out liner in tone of blue, orange and plum.
