Hood By Air duo Shayne Oliver and Raul Lopez showed their latest collection titled ‘Stiches’, on Friday, to an original soundtrack by the most fashionable man on the planet, A$AP Rocky. Before a crowd of friends, Hood By Air, New York City’s most stylish ghetto kids and the world’s coolest gay youth expressed their creativity. So, naturally they threw an after party with Venus Jazmin’s Ghe20 Goth1k afterwards.
Later, Oliver labeled the collection an effort to sexually subvert classic male uniforms. There were backless pieces and what looked like long zipper boot takes on classic baseball boots, for men.
Hood By Air’s collection video actually features female performance artist and mesmerizing androgynous skin-head, Boy Child. In an interesting twist Oliver said she was chosen because she embodies the true essence of masculine self-confidence, and that she can be emotionally open without being weak.
Hood By Air, is almost better known for their classic tees than their high fashion collection, which Oliver describes as the pieces they wish existed. Well now they do.
