London Fashion Week: Temperley London
February 19, 2012Oversized fur hats, cinched waists, and opulently embellished gowns fit the setting at 1 Great George Street all too well. Feminine silhouettes in lush fabrics, strong floral embroideries, with plenty of historical nods by Alice Temperely has us craving complete decadence for fall 2012.
“I titled my collection Renaissance - not only was I inspired by the sumptuous colors and decadent subjects of the religious paintings and tapers tires of the time, but also the meaning of the word; creative re-awakening and re-birth; I feel the collection has found its new form and the shapes have entered a new signature. In this fast transient world a little decadence is a like a tonic, a romantic escapism.” - Alice Temperley
