“I’m just trying to get this whole first show jinx out of the way,” smiled Patrik Ervell before his runway debut at the Milk Gallery.
Despite the designer’s nerves, as the doors opened he found himself with abundant support. So many guests showed that Sally Singer almost had to sit on the floor to catch the show when she arrived with her son who lost his Fashion Week virginity today. She eventually squeezed into the front row alongside Stefano Tonchi, Jefferson Hack, and Eric Wilson. Other notable admirers inlcluded Ryan McGinley and Kirsten Dunst.
“I’m a veteran of Ryan’s presentations,” offered the actress, “so it’s sweet to see him evolve. He’s a real gentle, artistic soul. And I like rooting for friends.”
After a confident, fan-infused fall spectacle, many were eager to agree.
